Cross-country Skiing

If you like getting out in the beautiful forests in winter and have had a touch of envy watching people glide down hill instead of walking down on snowshoes then you are ready to learn cross country skiing. Learning in the woods away from the hustle of the ski areas is a unique experience, It is the winter version of mountain biking. A perfect activity for those who are feeling adventurous or those who would rather just enjoy nature a different way. Either way you will be able to learn some techniques for navigating the natural snow and, in time, be able to enjoy many of your favorite summer trails.

RENTAL INFORMATION

Equipment not included. You can rent your cross-country equipment at any of these nearby locations. The skis should be for backcountry touring which are wider with metal edges and fish scale bottoms. You will need the boot to match the binding system on the ski and a pole.
